The New Deal Programs
The United States government under President Franklin D. Roosevelt's administation enacted a series of programs between 1933 and 1936 which were known collectively as The New Deal. The New Deal programs were designed to provide relief to the poor and unemployed, recover the economy, and reform the financial system to prevent future economic collapse. Of the New Deal programs, various programs aimed towards raising agriculture prices and the CCC Camps particularly impacted Louisa County.
