First Baptist Church

The First Baptist Church in Louisa County was one of the first black churches formed during the Reconstruction era. The First Baptist Church has a long history that includes an African American congressman who helped draft the Underwood Constitution. The church is still exists today and continues to thrive in Louisa County after 145 years after its formation.
